Ellen Chuse
Biography: Ellen Chuse has been working with birthing women and their families since 1984. She has a private practice in Childbirth Education and Pregnancy and Birth Counseling in both Brooklyn and Manhattan. In Brooklyn Ellen offers a Wednesday evening class series and a Saturday Intensive. In Manhattan she teaches a Tuesday evening class at Realbirth. Private classes, Refresher classes and counseling are available on request. For over ten years Ellen has facilitated groups for new mothers at the Elizabeth Seton Childbearing Center and Realbirth. She is Past President of the Childbirth Education Association of Metropolitan New York and continues to serve on the Board of Directors. Ellen has two daughters and lives in Brooklyn. Classes offered: Childbirth education including breastfeeding and newborn care, childbirth refresher, pregnancy and birth counseling and new mother's support group. Group and private classes are held in Manhattan and Brooklyn. Pregnancy and birth counseling: a short term counseling model to address fears and concerns relating to childbirth. This counseling may also be helpful to women dealing with infertility, postpartum adjustment or pregnancy loss.
